Peter Falkner has spent over 30 years in translational science bringing medical/surgical concepts from mere thoughts of how to safely solve a problem to completion into the world of medicine. His background and commitment to creating safe, effective, and efficient outcomes has allowed him to enjoy a very successful career in the collaborative medical world of innovation. Peter’s training has allowed him to run clinical animal and human trials globally as well as direct medical training in the areas of anesthesiology, laparoscopy, gynecologic surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Peter’s key role in the development of laparoscopy with Dr. William Saye allowed him, as a Clinical Research Scientist, to train over 17,000 surgeons from all over the world at Advanced Laparoscopic Training Center (ALTC) in Marietta, Georgia, for over 9 years. His extensive experience with ALTC and other global medical corporations allowed him to establish loyal relationships with surgeons in the United States and abroad. His background expands from clinical training and concept thinking to multifaceted launches of medical devices.
Peter has written and co-authored multiple articles published in various medical journals. He has been involved with many global corporations as an executive team member directly active in investor relations, strategic planning, business development, regulatory affairs, reimbursement, clinical/surgical trials and training. Peter hails from Auburn University and the University of Alabama in Birmingham. His emphasis has been and continues to be in the areas of clinical/surgical research and translational science. His strong background and training has provided him the honor of collaborating with many world-renowned medical universities in the areas of surgical research and development. Peter is an inventor and designer of medical devices, holding multiple medical patents.
