Dr. Matthew McIntyre is a board certified practicing urologist in Mobile, Alabama. He was raised in Auburn, Alabama and earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University. After receiving his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Dr. McIntyre completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He continued his training at the Baylor College of Medicine where he completed a fellowship in male reproductive medicine and microsurgery. While at MUSC, his teaching responsibilities included directing the student research for the Urology Summer Undergraduate Research Program and coordinating the urology resident call schedule. Dr. McIntyre has extensive experience in clinical research and has presented his findings at the South Carolina Urological Association Annual Meeting as well as the Annual Meeting of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
Dr. McIntyre is a prolific medical author with numerous research articles published in peer review journals, along with many more abstracts and presentations of his research findings to his colleagues in the fields of Urology and Sexual Medicine. He also lays claim to several editorials, reviews, and book chapters. His research background covers many areas, with specializations in urology and male sexual dysfunction.
Dr. McIntyre is a co-patent holder and inventor of a novel urological device.
